Behind the Front Desk

To the right of the front door at the Hamilton Wood Type & Printing Museum in Two Rivers Wisconsin. A wall covered in letterpress prints, many made from wooden type and plates cut in the 1950s and earlier. Some of these prints are for sale, others are part of the museum collection. It makes for an interesting backdrop — a place where its one paid employee, printer and Archivist, Jim Moran, (along with a growing group of printmakers and history-loving volunteers) work to preserve the history.
