This Wednesday, August 4th, DesignChat welcomes Steve Hartman to the conversation. Hartman is Creative Director at Falk Harrison, a branding strategy and design firm where he utilizes the power of solid design thinking for corporate and brand communications. He is also a judge this year for Archive 10, an event put on by our friends at the STA.

Falk Harrison’s clients have a wide range of graphic design and branding needs beginning with brand identity development, communication collateral, books, magazines, employee communications, financial communications, event marketing, advertising, signage and online social media.

Steve Hartman designs for a variety of industries including biomedical, chemical, communications, education, entertainment & gaming, financial, healthcare, manufacturing, retail, telecommunications, textile, transportation, and non-profit.

Steve is a former national board member of AIGA, The Professional Association for Design. AIGA is the largest design association. Steve has taught design and visual communications at Washington University, Webster University, Maryville University and the University of Missouri St. Louis. He attended the premier session of AIGA Business Perspectives for Design Leaders at the Harvard Business School. His reputation has awarded him design accolades, international judging opportunities, and advisory panel roles through out the country.

Steve has consulted on branding for a wide range of clients over his 18 year career including The Abraham Lincoln Presidential Library and Museum, Southern Illinois University Edwardsville, Eastern Illinois University, The Market At Busch’s Grove, The Missouri Historical Society, University of Illinois Foundation, Arch Coal, AEP River Operations, Helzberg Diamonds, HBF Textiles, Dillards, Inc., Caterpillar and more.
